AI Meetup (Knowledge Share) — Oct 7th, 2025
Recap of the Built in Public virtual AI meetup where builders shared one new thing they learned about AI this week, covering Miro’s AI wireframing, Google’s Nano Banana model, Figma’s ChatGPT integration, and the rise of design engineers who can ship code.

The rule is simple:
Show up with one new thing you learned about AI this week—and share it.
That’s exactly what we did. A small group of builders joined the first B150 AI Meetup, and the conversation went deep.
Google’s “Nano Banana” model
Text-to-image tech that solves character consistency. Multiple selfie angles, temperature set to 0, and cinematic lighting prompts led to reliable AI portraits and thumbnails.
Figma × ChatGPT integration
ChatGPT can now create FigJam flowcharts directly from prompts, editable in Figma. It bridges long-running context in ChatGPT with design files for faster iteration.
Design-to-code realities
Figma Make is fast but bloated. Use it for speed, not production.
Best practice: define your stack (Radix + Tailwind + shadcn/ui), then use Figma MCP as reference and rebuild clean code in Cursor or Windsurf.
Industry Shifts
- Intercom is training designers to ship front-end code themselves.
- The next generation of designers are design engineers who can prototype fast and push to production.
- Craft still matters; AI just raises the ceiling.
For Solo Designers
We discussed the need for an AI design partner inside Figma—something that can critique layouts, predict next steps, and offer real-time feedback.
Next Steps
We’ll host another B150 AI Meetup soon.
Same format. Same rule:
Bring one new thing you learned about AI this week—and share it.
